Do you have a automatic sitemap being created by Google or some sort of Joomla component?  If not , for shame.  A sitemap is vital for your site and it’s SEO.  IF you do, good job.  you are SEO smarty-pants.

Here is a little trick you may not know.  Search engines look for a robots.txt file in your public_html root.  Generally this file is used to keep search engines and spiders out of various parts of your site.  Recently, some smart people on the internet have noticed search engines and spiders are also looking for a sitemap file as well.

You can put http://yoursite.com/sitemap.xml in the robots.txt along with your typical Disallow: /administrator/.

Sweet right?   Happy SEO’ing
